The bet calculator quickly works out the potential winnings and net profit for singles and accumulators. Enter the stake and the odds — the calculator will show the total payout, the profit and the accumulated odds of an accumulator.

How to calculate winnings from a bet

Working out potential winnings is a basic skill for anyone betting on sports. The formula is simple: the stake is multiplied by the odds offered by the bookmaker. The result is the total payout, which includes both the stake itself and the net profit.

Single bet formula:

Winnings = Stake × Odds

Profit = Winnings − Stake

Example: a ₽1,000 bet at odds of 1.90 → winnings of ₽1,900, net profit of ₽900.

Factoring in the margin: fair odds vs real odds

The odds offered by a bookmaker already include the margin — its commission. An example: Fonbet offers odds of 1.85 on a Zenit win. The fair odds (without margin) are 1.95. The difference: a ₽1,000 bet returns ₽1,850 instead of ₽1,950. On one bet the difference is ₽100; over a season (500 bets) it is ₽50,000.

Before placing a bet, check the margin in the margin calculator. If the margin is above 6%, look for odds at another bookmaker. Marathon and 1xStavka usually offer a margin of 2–4% on top events.

Accumulator calculation

An accumulator (parlay) is a bet on several independent events at once. The total odds of an accumulator equal the product of the odds of all the selections. Winnings are paid only if every outcome is predicted correctly.

Accumulator formula:

Total odds = O₁ × O₂ × ... × Oₙ

Winnings = Stake × Total odds

Example: a ₽500 accumulator bet (1.50 × 2.10 × 1.80) = odds of 5.67 → winnings of ₽2,835.

Calculation specifics for different bet types

Several nuances matter when calculating bets. The odds already include the bookmaker margin — the commission built into the line. The lower the margin, the better the odds for the player.

One rule applies to accumulators: if even one event loses, the entire stake is lost. So when building an accumulator, weigh up the combined risk. Advanced betting strategies suggest limiting the number of events in an accumulator to 3-4.

Built-in bet calculators at Fonbet, Winline and other bookmakers

Most bookmakers have a built-in calculator in the bet slip: enter the stake and the potential winnings are shown automatically. However, a built-in calculator shows neither the margin, nor the fair odds, nor a comparison with other bookmakers.

Our calculator is useful for a preliminary check: enter the odds from the Fonbet, Winline or Liga Stavok lines — and compare the potential winnings before placing the bet. This is especially relevant for accumulators: the calculator shows the accumulated odds and the total winnings while you are still picking events.

Calculation examples

Bet type Stake (₽) Odds Winnings (₽) Profit (₽)
Single 1 000 1.50 1 500 500
Single 2 000 2.10 4 200 2 200
Accumulator (2) 1 000 1.80 × 2.00 = 3.60 3 600 2 600
Accumulator (3) 500 1.50 × 1.80 × 2.20 = 5.94 2 970 2 470

Bankroll management

The bet calculator is a bankroll planning tool. Before each bet it is worth working out the potential winnings and assessing how risky the bet is. For a systematic approach use the Kelly criterion, which determines the optimal stake size based on the probability and the odds.

It is also useful to understand ROI — the long-term return of your bets. A positive ROI means the strategy is profitable.

Flat staking or a percentage of the bank: which to choose

There are two main approaches to stake sizing. Flat staking — always the same amount (for example, ₽1,000). A simple approach: spending is easy to control, but it does not react to bankroll growth or decline.

Percentage of the bank (1–5% of the current balance) — an adaptive approach. A ₽50,000 bank with a 2% stake = ₽1,000. The bank grows to ₽60,000 — the stake is ₽1,200. The bank falls to ₽40,000 — the stake is ₽800. For an exact calculation of the optimal percentage use the Kelly criterion — it takes both the probability and the odds into account.

Before a bet, assess: your win rate over 200+ bets, the variance of results over short streaks, and the impact of the bookmaker margin. A bet on a favorite at odds of 1.30 requires a 77% win rate — one loss needs three wins to break even. A bet on an underdog at odds of 4.00 brings high profit on rare wins, but the variance is higher.

Frequently asked questions about the bet calculator
🙋 How do I calculate winnings from a bet?
💁 Multiply the stake by the bookmaker odds. For example, a ₽1,000 bet at odds of 2.00 returns ₽2,000, of which ₽1,000 is net profit. Formula: Winnings = Stake × Odds.
🙋 How is an accumulator calculated?
💁 The odds of all events in the accumulator are multiplied together. The total odds are multiplied by the stake. Every event must win — if one loses, the entire bet is lost.
🙋 How many events can I add to an accumulator?
💁 Most Russian bookmakers allow 2 to 15-20 events in an accumulator. Our calculator supports up to 15 events. The optimal number is 2-4 events — each extra event increases the combined risk significantly.
🙋 What is a single bet?
💁 A single is a bet on one event. It is the simplest bet type: you pick one outcome at specific odds. If the prediction is correct, the winnings equal the stake multiplied by the odds.
🙋 What is the difference between an accumulator and a system bet?
💁 In an accumulator every event must win. A system is a combination of smaller accumulators. For example, a 2/3 system consists of three doubles: you can lose one event and still get a payout. Work out a system in the system bet calculator.
🙋 How does the bookmaker margin affect winnings?
💁 The margin lowers the odds compared to the "fair" values. With a 5% margin, odds of 2.00 on an event with a 50% probability drop to about 1.90. That reduces the potential winnings by 5%. Check the margin in the margin calculator.
